Ross E. Webster, 85, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002 at his home. He was born June 12, 1916 in Aurora.
After serving in the Army in WWII for three years, Ross went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad. Upon retiring in 1980, Ross then began his Moose career at Batavia Lodge #682. Ross worked at the Supreme Lodge from 1981-2001, and has been a Moose member since 1963. He also worked as bar manager for five years at an Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his adopted family and close friends: Gary Dedrick, Bill and Marge Berger, Valarie, Rob, Brian and Kristy Suler of North Aurora, Joe, Lisa, Joey and Shannon McEachern of Sandwich, Mike McDonnel of Elburn and Larry Cooper of Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald R. and Anna (Pierce) Webster; his brother, Bruce Webster and his nephew, Alan Webster.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2002 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary.
A memorial service will take place at 7 p.m.
