Barney was born in Emory Texas and moved to California with his family in 1932 where he lived for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gerry, and two beautiful daughters, Joyce Haney and Donna Bear along with four wonderful grandchildren, Greg, Corey, Emily and Megan, and equally wonderful great-grandchildren Ashley, Marcus and Lexi.
Barney served his country in both the Coast Guard and Air Force during World War II and Korean War. In civilian life he worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 30 years and retired in 1978. Upon retirement he and Gerry moved to their home in Happy Valley which was built by their best friends Deke and Sharon Dent. He is buried in Happy Valley Cemetery close to the home he lived in for 31 years.
He will be missed by all his loving family, sons-in-law and many good friends.
