Grace M. Genoble, Greer
Grace Moon Genoble, 88, of 991 Robinson Road, beloved wife of Leonard G. Genoble for over 65 years, died Feb. 15, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James Milton and Elizabeth Lindsey Moon, she was a homemaker and a member of Sharon United Methodist church, where she taught in the preschool department for over 35 years, served as a board member, and served on many committees.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are one daughter and son-in-law, Janet Genoble and A. Kennedy Dawson of Greensboro, N.C.; one sister, Violette Laverne Bright of Greer; two grandchildren, Janet Kennedy Dawson of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Andrew Kennedy Dawson of Greensboro, N.C. Mrs. Genoble was predeceased by five brothers, John, Walter, Hoy, Roy and James Moon; and four sisters, Minnie Hill, Lillian Beacham, Leila Brown and Vinnie Hudson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Sharon United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Linda McNatt, the Rev. Homer Smith, and Henrietta Cox.
Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Carroll Genoble, Rufus Genoble, Albert Dickson, Jeffrey Bright, Bill Bright, Tom Beacham, Elvin Dean Moon, and David Beard.
The Ladies of the Nell Wilkes Class will serve as honorary escort.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
