James Henry Crawford, the son of D.K. (?) Crawford, and Christine Kennedy, was born 23 Mar 1867 in Slidell, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. He married Alice Mae Davis on 26 Aug 1891 in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. In 1910 the family was living in Hancock County, Mississippi, and there were seven children: Leon, Warren, May, Clifton, Katie, Douglas, Velma and an unnamed son 2 months old. Henry's occupation is "Coalburner". By the 1920 Census the family was living in Ocean Springs, Jackson County, Mississippi, and the 1930 Census states Henry was a caretaker on a private estate. Henry died on 16 Oct 1932 in Biloxi, MS of heart disease.
