He died Sunday October 28, 1973 at the Jennie M.M.M.M.Hospital in Broken Bow, NE, as result of an accident where he suffocated in corn at a farm on Pleasant Hill between Merna, & Arnold, NE,
He is preceded in death by his father Daryle Otto Zlomke who drown at Johnson Lake, South of Lexington, NE on Aug. 23, 1969.
Joe is survived by his mother Connie & Step-father Eldon McCandless, two sisters Gerri Jo, Juli Ann, one brother James Lee Zlomke, all of Broken Bow, NE. Grandparents, Mida Zlomke of Litchfield, NE, Jed H & Glennie (Whiteman) Mooney of Mason City, NE, a great granfather Jed A.Mooney of Mason City, NE, a step-brother Terry McCandless three step-sisters Marla, Jonie, and Jeanne all of Broken Bow, NE.
Funeral services for Joseph was held Tuesday at 2p.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Alfred Fossum officating. Burial is in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
