LONG, PEGGY SUE FULLER - age 73 of Rockwood, TN died Thursday, September 24, 2009 after a long illness. Peggy passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, her books, the things she loved and her devoted and loving husband of 53 years, Tommy R. Long. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Susie Fuller; sister and brother-in-law, James & Patsy Jane Pace. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Lora Long Neal and son-in-law, Timothy F. Neal and Joy Renee Long, all of Kingston, TN. Peggy leaves behind many special family members, including cousins, nieces and nephews and her beloved and cherished granddaughter, Sarah Danielle Rainwater and a precious angel, Natalie Jade Childers, who brightened up her final days. The family is very grateful and appreciative of her many caregivers and hospice nurses, over the past year. They are especially grateful to Janie, Margie, Rosie, Faye, Shannon and Cindy Lee and to her hospice nurses, Beth and Vicki. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. The funeral service will follow immediately at 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Charles Smiddy officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood. Those persons who wish to make a memorial donation may do so to: The Holy Mountain Church of God; C/O 211 N. Chamberlain Avenue, Rockwood, TN 37854, where Mrs. Long's caregivers attend services.
