Survivors include his widow of Cantril; a son, Edward of Fort Madison; two daughters, Beatrice Boyd of Des Moines and Bonnie Alexander of Seymour; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Anderson of Fullerton, Calif. and a brother, Joe of Chicago.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Wagler Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Merrill Yoakam. Burial was in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton. A memorial has been established to the Iowa Heart Association.
