FARMER CITY – (PNS) – Dill Farmer, 85, died Friday morning at a home for the aged at Hallsville where he had lived since January 2.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stensel Funeral home, Farmer City. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.

Mr. Farmer was born Nov. 4, 1862 in Rutledge township, a son of George and Elsie Monnett Farmer. He worked as a blacksmith and served on the Farmer City night police force for 40 years. He married Miss Margaret White who preceded him in death. In 1900 he married Mrs. Amanda Call who also preceded him in death.

Surviving are four stepsons, Irvin Call and George Fuller of Dallas, Tex., and Carl Fuller of Clifton, Ia.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. William Hammer of Farmer City.
