Claude was a fruit packer. By this time he and Alda had added three more children to the family. John L., age 9, Norma Jean, age 5 and Marvin, age 3.
It was after 1940 that Claude was called into the ministry. He moved to Pensacola, FL. and pastored the Church of God located at "T" & Avery St. for four years. 1954-1958. He returned in 1964 and was pastor of the Ferry Pass Church of God 1964- 1969.
His daughter Mildred had married and she made her home in Pensacola.
