Raised Helen Earnest Solomon after she was orphaned. Helen V. McCausland knew him as "Uncle Harry". Richard Bennett Solomon was named after him. Civil War vet. Company C 71st. P.V. Inft. Lived East Broadstreet, Souderton, Pennsylvania. He and wife were living with her parents in 1880 census. Enlisted as a private 8/23/61. Served throughout war. Xfered to 69th on 6/12/64. Regiment fought Balls Bluff, Antietem, Gettysburg.
