Ricky "Rick" Joseph Cooksey, 50, Gardner, KS, passed away June 20, 2003, after a long battle with illness. Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday, July 24, at Charter Funerals/Kansas Chapel, 10250 W. 63rd St.; final resting place will be in El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12 noon prior to funeral services.
A loving husband and father, he leaves behind his wife, Sheila Cooksey, and two children, Heather Cooksey and Ricky Cooksey Jr. of the home. He is survived by his father, R J Cooksey, and stepmother, Penny Cooksey of Kansas City, KS; a sister, Phyllis Bullock of Bethany, OK; and a brother, Jim Ray Cooksey of Houston, TX; as well as nieces and nephews and aunts.
