ED G. FIROVED
EL RENO - Ed G. Firoved, 54, died Monday at his home after a sudden illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Benson Funeral Home with burial in El Reno Cemetery.
Firoved, a longtime El Reno resident, was born at Tama, Iowa. He was a diesel foreman for the Rock Island and Pacific railroads. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Other memberships included the El Reno Masons, the Elks, and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Edwin L., Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. William Halacka, Lompoc, Calif.; Mrs. Mike Finnigan, El Reno; Mrs. Wayne Stephens, Norman, and Rachel Firoved, of the home, and six grandchildren.
The American Legion will direct military graveside services; friends may visit the funeral home Thursday until 1:30 p.m.
