1864 - 22 Dec 1864 - NH Marriage Records list his marriage to Mary Ann Laighton in Portsmouth NH. His parents are listed as : George H Dodge and Mary (no other info). Her parents are listed as : William Laighton and Mary Ann (no other info).

1870 - Living in Hampton Falls NH with his wife where he is listed as a retail grocer. Children listed (most likely born in Hampton Falls NH) : Miriam age 4 born about 1866, George H age 2 born about 1868.

1880 - Living in Hampton Falls NH with his wife where he is listed as a farmer. Children listed : Miriam L listed as at home, George H listed as at school, Ralph N age 3 born about 1877, and Duncan C age 1 born about 1879 (later in life known as Wallace Duncan Cunningham Dodge).

GEORGE D. DODGE married Mary Ann Leighton on Dec. 22, 1864 in Portsmouth. A cotton manufacturer, he was born in Hampton Falls. She was born in Kennebunk, Me. He was the son of George Hubbard Dodge, cotton manufacturer, born in Hampton Falls and Mary Keeley, born in England. She was the daughter of William and Mary Ann Leighton.

NOTE: Mary's stone spells her maiden name "Laighton" and the stones for her two infants also spell the name "Laighton".
