He was the son of George Hubbard Dodge, cotton manufacturer, born in Hampton Falls and Mary Keeley, born in England. She was the daughter of William and Mary Ann Leighton.
NOTE: Mary's stone spells her maiden name "Laighton" and the stones for her two infants also spell the name "Laighton".
