Joseph Edward Sinclair died 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 1988, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 89, a native of New Orleans, former resident of Wakefield and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Hall, St. Francisville, 9:30 a.m. to mass of christian burial at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial in Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery, St. Francisville. Survived by wife, Lilie Sterling Sinclair, Baton Rouge; two sons, Joseph Edward Sinclair Jr., Longview, Texas, and Daniel Sterling Sinclair, Covington; two sisters, Niade Dupey, Marksville, and Linnie Rooney, Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, James Lewis Sinclair. Pallbearers will be Thomas "Nat" Wallace, Pat Butler, Mike Hughes, David Robinson, Jack Jones and Charles Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Alfred Gould, Conville Hobgood, Steve Dart, John Grout, David Folkes, John Farrar and Terrel Goode. He was oldest participant of Great River Road Run, and member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
