His obituary lists his birth as Oct. 4, 1835, but his age at death is listed as 49 years, 7 months, & 26 days which would make his birth date as Oct. 9, 1835 which is what I have listed.

First married to Phoebe Jane Weeks. 1 son - William Wilmot Achenbach.
After hear death he married Catherine Wagner. Their children were Ella (Stork), John, Alletta (Deitrick), Elmer Esco and Jacob Edison Achenbach.
