Solomon Sherman of Millcreek township died at his home on the old "State Road" on Tuesday morning of this week of some bowel disease. He was about 38 years of age and leaves a wife and several children.

J. S. Sherman was born Jan. 14th 1859 died Jan. 9th 1899, aged 39 years 11 months and 25 days.
He was married Aug. in 1884 to Frances Helen Imhoff. This union was blessed with six children; one having been born since his fathers death. He leaves a wife and six children besides a father, mother, one brother and two sisters. Through the instrumentality of Rev. Baumgardner he was converted about four months before his death.
He was buried at Asbury Cemetery the services being conducted by the pastor of the Evangelical Church Rev. Baumgardner. He was honored and respected by all that knew him and the sympathy of all is with the bereaved ones. It can truly be said of him, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
