"Mrs. Frances Imhoff Woods, 85, native of Strattanville, widow of J. A. Woods and sister of Wallace Imhoff of Oil City, died in her daughter’s home in East Brady Sunday night. A daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Walters Imhoff, Mrs. Woods was born October 2, 1865 in Strattanville. She lived there until May, 1947 when she moved to East Brady, where she had made her home since. Mrs. Woods was twice married, to S. J. Sherman and J. A. Woods, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of the Strattanville Methodist Church. Survivors include: three sons, Walter I. Sherman of Brookville, Roy Sherman of Summerville and John Sherman of Duke Center; a daughter, Mrs. Carrie M. Haugh of East Brady; a brother, Wallace Imhoff of Oil City; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Gilfillan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Miss Jane Imhoff of Meadville; eighteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Jenkins Funeral Home in Clarion."
