HENDRICKS, Vivian Lorene, age 79, of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac Blackwood and Bessie Reader Blackwood, and her husband, Howard R. Hendricks. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Newland, Judy Parker, and Charlene Nickens, all of Ashland City, brothers, Charles Blackwood and Elbert Blackwood; a sister, Sarah Courtney; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Services were held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 10am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Leon Edwards officiating. Burial followed will follow in the Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, TN. Grandchildren served as pallbearers. Visitation with family was held on Sunday, May 24, 2009, from 1pm until 8pm and on Monday, May 25, 2009, from 8am until 8pm. She was a retired nursing tech.
