Mrs. Martha A. Alexander, 82 year old Grant district lady and the widow of the late George Alexander, died at her home at Medina at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness of several years from heart disease and other complications. Her condition had been critical for several days and death was expected almost hourly. Mrs. Alexander was born in Noble County, Ohio, and came to Jackson County with her parents when she was only a little girl. They settled in Grant district and she spent the remainder of her life there. Six years ago her health began to fail and for the past two years illness kept her confined to her home. The husband died three years ago and since that time she had been cared for by her son, W. R. Alexander, and his wife.
