Teresa's ancestral family was from Spain. Her parents were born in New Mexico, as were 3 previous generations. Her great-grandfather Lorenzo Marquez was granted land near Santa Fe, NM in 1785 and the family were well off.


Mrs. G. A. Storz Prioneer Resident of County Dead
Mrs. G. A. Storz, one of the best known of the pioneer residents of Las Animas county passed away at the family home at Stonewall at 4:15 p.m. at the age of 79 years. Deceased had been in failing health for a number of years.

Mrs. Storz came to Las Animas county with her husband G. A. Storz about 1870 and settled in the Stonewall valley which has ever since been her home.

Deceased is survived by three sons, G. A. Storz of Edna, Texas, Andy Storz of Pueblo and Adolph C. Storz of Stonewall. Also ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. Grandma Storz was much beloved and respected by all who knew her. Body is in care of the R. G. Sipe Undertaking Co., funeral notice later.
