Mr. Abbott was a farmer who moved directly to Todd Township in the spring of 1886. On June 18, 1895, B. F. Wright enumerated the Abbotts 39th in Todd Township.

Friday, March 18, 1898 at Osage, after an illness of several months, A. A. Abbott aged forty one years.
He leaves a wife and five children to fight life's' battles alone. The oldest child is only eight years old, the widow certainly deserves the sympathy of the community. The funeral occurred Sunday, Rev. R. W. Harlow officiating and the remains were laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
