Obituary for Mrs Norene Kelly from the Parkersburg News and Sentinel
Funeral services for Mrs Norene Kelly 52 of 4201 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, widow of Jennings W Kelly, who died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Monday night, will be conducted at 2:30 pm Thursday at the Vaughan Funeral Home with the Rev Kenneth G Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
She was born in Parkersburg, daughter of Mrs Ione Brooks Baker of Vienna and the late Clyde C Baker (sic). She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She had graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1941 and from the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. She had worked as a registered nurse and had also been secretary-treasurer of the former Empire Dry Cleaning and Laundry. She was active in Girl Scouting.
Survivors include two sons, John R and Clyde W. Kelly of Parkersburg, a daughter, Nancy E Herrington of Vienna, two sisters, Nina Hammett of Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs Norma Fitch of Vienna and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dr F William Goff, Dr. James C Batten, Jack E McFarland, Tracy H Spencer, Mahlon L Fauss and C Donald Evans Jr.
