Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the home for James A. Barnett, 84, who died Friday. Burial was at Mooresville Cemetery. Mr. Barnett is survived by Mrs. W. O. Mills of West Lafayette, and Mrs. R. E. Mitchell, Indianapolis, daughters. He was born near Mooresville and had lived in that vicinity his entire lifetime. He was a member of the Friends church, Odd Fellows lodge, and was a past master of West Newton Masonic lodge.

Birth date information taken from the 1900 census. While the obituary indicates he lived in Mooresville his whole life, the 1900 census shows him just up the road at Decatur Township, Marion County. Cyndi Bennett 47240898 provided his middle name.
