Born June 19, 1896 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Sanford and Alice Pilcher Russell. On July 16, 1918 she married Rudolph Bliesener in Burlington. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1978.
Mrs. Bliesener was a member of First United Church of Christ, Railroad Veteran's Auxiliary and World War I Veteran's Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Sanford Bliesener and Ronald Bliesener both of Burlington; one daughter, Dorothy Bliesener of Burlington; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Russell of Burlington.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 20th, in Lunning Chapel.
The funeral service for Mrs. Bliesener will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21st in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Volle officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for her church.
As of December 2012, Helens daughter Dorothy is still alive and is now living at Klein Center in Burlington.
