Robert Bern was found dead in his home in East Reinbeck Thursday morning, April 4th. He had been in ill health for the past several years.
He was born the son of Julius and Amelia Bern and spent his entire life in this community, with the exception of the time spent in the service in World War II. Military service was given by members of Action Post, American Legion.
He is survivied by one son, Milton of Englewood, Calif., two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Walter Thede (Ethel) of Reinbeck, one brother, James of Reinbeck. He was preceeded by his parents.

Robert was married to Hughleen Wilkerson June 8, 1940. Hughleen was the daughter of Rose Emmaline (Maar) Wilkerson. Her father, Hugh Wilkerson was killed and Rose later married Harry Brown.
