Amanda was the daughter of George & Sallie (Baker) Homan. She was married to Loomis Sweeten DeHaven in 1874.

Some of their children were: Ira Franklin, George Allen, Ruba May, Hattie, Martha, Lou Bell, & Mary Virginia.

They were living in Richland Township in Morgan Co, MO, when she died from Malaria Fever at 2:00 p.m. on October 21, 1924. She had lived 70 years, 8 months, & 9 days. Dr. Robert Fogle was her doctor.

L.S. De Haven, her husband, was the informant on her death certificate.
