Guilford Dudley Curry was born near
Greenfield, Indiana on December 1, 1848
and passed away at his home in Frankfort,
Kansas on November 18, 1933. He leaves
to mourn his passing, his wife Mrs. Ina
Curry, three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Goss,
Kansas, City, Missouri, Mrs. Ella McKee
and Mrs. Edna Leslie of Frankfort, Kansas;
two sons, Gilford Roland Curry, Everett,
Washington and Charles Curry, Frankfort,
Kansas. One daughter, Mrs. Jennie Flin
and one son, Oscar Curry preceded him in
death.

He also is survived by fifteen grandchildren;
three step-daughters, Mrs. Gaynell Over-
baugh and Mrs. Ella Blass of Frankfort,
Kansas and Mrs. Audrey Capek, Molin
Oregon.

Mr. Curry’s youth was spent in the states of
Indiana and Illinois. On March 16, 1870 he
was married to Clarissa Gilmer at Knoxville
Illinois where he resided until the year of
1878 when they moved to Kansas, settling
on a farm west of Frankfort, Kansas. To
this union was born seven children, Jennie
Oscar, Jessie, Guilford Roland, Ella,
Charles and Edna. Mrs. Curry passed away
on May 20, 1911. On June 2, 1914 he was
married to Mrs. Ina Goss who survives.
Mr. Curry moved into Frankfort in 1911
where he has since resided.

G.D. Curry was one of the pioneers who
helped build up this country by their
untiring labor and patient endurance of
hardships.

Funeral services and burial was in the
Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
