Pfc. William Kenneth Hector, USMC, 24,
formerly of Baltimore and Fellowsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Camp Courtney, in Okinawa, Japan. He was born Dec. 25, 1975, in Baltimore, son of Cathy Knotts Ramsel and stepfather Robert Ramsel, of White Marsh, Md., and William Hector, of Edgemere, Md. He was a 1995 graduate of Preston High School. He served three years and nine months in the U.S. Marine Corps as a private first class. He enjoyed sports and hunting. He is also survived by four brothers, Christopher Hector, Patrick Ramsel, Nicholas Ramsel and Taylor Hector, all of Baltimore; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Knotts, of Fellowsville; many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Patricia Morris and William Hector Sr. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home, W.Va. 92, Newburg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Service will be in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, with the Rev. Marvin Cline officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, in Kingwood, with military graveside services conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps.
