ROSA HALL RAINEY

Rosa Hall Rainey, 87, of Holcomb died September 10, 1996 at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was born January 12, 1909 in the North Canaan Community near Gibson. She was a lifetime resident of the Clarkton-Holcomb area and a homemaker. She was a member of the Douglas Grove Methodist Church, which is now disbanded. For the past 20 years, she attended the South Canaan General Baptist Church. On August 12,1931, she was married to Elmer O Rainey in Kennett. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1972.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert T and Joda Miller Hall, one daughter, Jean Rainey True, one son-in-law, Lee Pelts Jr, eight brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, June Rainey Pelts of Tunica, MS, a daughter & son-in-law, Jonelle and LaMoin Holdner of Poplar Bluff, a grandson, Kevin True of Memphis, TN, a son-in-law, Tom True of Holcomb; two brothers, Thomas Lindell Hall of Brownfield, TX and Roy E Hall of Ferguson, a step-grandson, Roger Pelts of Adamsville, TN, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 pm at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2PM at Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Scott Keller & Rev Sam Book officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.

Pallbearer will be Doyen Hall, Windfred Moore, Steve Bradshaw, Bobby Floyd, Roger Petls and Rev. Cecil Keller.
