Yvonne Josette Ealy Schwartz, 77, of Wilmington, NC, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, September 26, 2009, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Yvonne was born January 24, 1932 in Mattoon, IL, daughter of the late Delmar Ealy and Iola Bearrows Ealy. Her husband, Ruben Schwartz, daughter, Ellen [Jane] Hover, and son, Loring "Ian" Hover, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Schwartz started her life on a farm in Illinois, then moved to Beverly Hills where she spent many glamorous years in L.A. as hostess of "Queen For A Day." She moved to New York, starting the next chapter in her life as a mother and grandmother. Three years ago she moved to Wilmington, NC.

She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Rudolph and husband, Alan, of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Charlotte Rosenberg and husband, Robert, of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Alexander and Olivia Rudolph, and Adam and Chelsea Rosenberg; and a sister, Sharon Wheeler of Oregon.

A Mass of the Resurrection was held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 17, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wilmington, NC, with Rev. Bob Kus officiating.
