Mr. Robert Frye "Bob" Blount - a native of Montgomery, AL and a lifelong resident of Mobile County, AL died Friday, April 3, 2009 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ola Mae Platt Blount, of Eight-Mile, AL; six children, Eugene (Ellen) Blount, Wayne (Patsy) Blount, Donna (Bud) Cole, Kenny Blount, Eddie (Margie) Blount, and Beth (Randy) Gossett; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Vaughn Blount; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Blount's family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Infirmary Hospice, Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, and Dr. Chris Dyas for their loving care of their husband, father, and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2009 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of , memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
