HARTSELLE— J. M. 82, Hartselle, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. John Erwin and the Rev. Vandon Windsor officiating with burial in the church cemetery, Peck Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Winnie Childers, Hartselle; six daughters. Mrs. Annie Bailey, Mrs. Velma Hill, Mrs. Elma Harris, Mrs. Nellie Reeves, Mrs. Ozelle Hargett, Mrs. Lucille Kyker, all of Hartselle; one son, Bill Childers of Birmingham; 18 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elzora Tucker, Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Childers, Hal Aldridge, Don Bailey, Bobby Harm, Charles Mattox, Prentice Hill, Wayne Schaffer and Elbert Brown.
He was a member of the Church of God. The body was returned to the residence this morning and will remain there until time to be taken to the church for services.
