Jack Clinton Trahan, 65, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in a local healthcare facility.

Born to Archie Donald Trahan, Sr. and Martha Jewel Rutherford Trahan in Johnson Bayou, LA. Mr. Trahan lived his life in Cameron. He loved the marsh, working cattle and raising animals on his farm. He was always a member of some club relating to the animals he loved, goats, pigeons, horses and cows. He was of the Baptist faith. He overcame adversity and showed his family and community that faith in God could help you persevere through anything. In the end through his faithfulness in God, he had the final say to overcome any obstacle.

Mr. Trahan is survived by one son, Troy Trahan and wife Dece of Lake Charles; one daughter, Tammy Young and husband David of Mena, Arkansas; three brothers, James Trahan and Jesse Nunez, both of Big Lake, Francis Trahan of DeQuincy; one sister, Barbara Wolfe of Grand Lake; and four grandchildren, Paul and Bethany Trahan of Lake Charles and Chanly and Whitney Young of Mena, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Trahan; one daughter, Tabatha Dicus; one granddaughter, Kelli Trahan; and two brothers, Archie Donald "A.D." Trahan, Jr. and Pete Trahan.

Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends Alton Hodnet and Robert Lott will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
