Carl Jacob Jonsson was the son of Jonas Olofsson and Anna Brita Jacobsdotter. Adopted the surname Isberg by 1850. Owned and managed breweries in Sweden. After retiring he, his wife Carolina and daughter Anna emigrated on 8/27/1894 to the United States to join his sons, Frans Robert and Ernst Hjalmar, that had preceded him to Tustin.

Lived with his son Ernst Hjalmar Isberg and helped run the farm. Buried with his wife Carolina Haggstrom and his son Ernst Hjalmar Isberg.
