A graveside service for Floyd Raymond Asher of Forest Grove will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Yankton Cemetery in St. Helens. He died in his home Tuesday of causes related to age. He was 77.
Mr. Asher was born on Oct. 13, 1913, in Farmington, Ark., and he moved to Oregon in 1941, settling in Gales Creek. He moved to Columbia City in 1944 and to Forest Grove in 1949.
He had worked in the lumber industry.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; sons, Bob, Larry, E. Wayne and Tim, all of Forest Grove, and L. Mack and Jim, both of Hillsboro; daughters, Wanda Lyda and Patricia Asher, both of Forest Grove, and Sharion Huck of Tillamook; brothers, Buford of La Pine and J.T. of Lincoln, Ark.; sisters, Hazel Heisler of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Ethel Allen of Longview, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
