Born December 5, 1937 in Craighead County, Patsy was a daughter of the late Earnest F. Hales and Emma Lorene Pierce Hales. Reared and educated in Jefferson County, Patsy graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1956. She then continued her education and devoted her life to educating others as she retired from Jenkins Center with nearly 30 years of service. She was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ, but was currently attending the Mt Ida Church of Christ where she and Mr. White had a weekend "get-a-way".
Patsy was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy Hales, and Joy Marie Boyd.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Doug White, whom she married September 14, 1956 at Pine Bluff; sons, Lonnie D. White, Jr. and wife Vickie of Sulphur Springs; and Matthew White of Pine Bluff; daughter, Lucinda Hodges and husband Keith of Valrico, Florida; brothers, Bud Hales and wife Norma of Pine Bluff and Paul Hales and wife Ginny of Greenwood, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Jake, Nathan, and Corrie; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother John Hall officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery at Staves in Cleveland County
