Of the three sons and two daughters, only one, Charles Christopher, returned to Bedford County. Christopher married Eve Elizabeth Dubert, believed to be his cousin. With their year-old son, Michael, they returned to the place where most of Christopher's family had been killed when he was thirteen. Two more sons and at least two daughters were born to this hearty couple. Christopher was killed by the Indians in 1757, and is buried in the Dibert Cemetery, now on the Alvie Claycomb farm. This grave is the oldest known marked grave in the county. Eve Elizabeth, the mother whose blood runs in a great many present-day Bedford County citizens, lived to be ninety-five years old, dying in 1815. She is buried in the old Messiah Lutheran Cemetery in Bedford Township, Bedford County, less than a mile from where she settled in 1740
