He was the son of Dennis F. Fealy and Elizabeth Keefe Fealy.
On Tuesday evening, June 23, 1903 as Thomas J. Fealy, he married Minnie C. Murphy at Stephen's Church in the District of Columbia. She was the daughter of Edward Vincent Murphy. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Caughy, pastor of the church.
They were the parents of one child.

Retired Army Officer Succumbs to Disabilities Incurred in Service
Captain Thomas J. Fealy, United States Army, retired, died Saturday night at the residence of E.V. Murphy, his father-in-law, 2511 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, after an illness of four years, as a consequence of his service in the Philippines. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from St. Stephen's Church, Pennsylvania Avenue and 25th Street and interment will be at Arlington.

Captain Fealy was brought home four years ago, suffering from paralysis. He entered the army in 1898, serving in Cuba for two years during the Spanish-American War and during the occupation. He afterward served in Samoa and later in the Philippines, performing three tours of duty in the Far East, during one of which he was wounded while with the Shields Expeditionary Relief Force.

He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis F. Fealy; by his widow, who is a daughter of E.V. Murphy, Chief Stenographer in the House of Representatives; by his sister, Mrs. MacK. Cunningham, wife of Captain Cunningham, United States Army; his brother-in-law, Captain Hepburn, United States Army, retired and his sister, Mrs. Hepburn. Rev. Father Fealy of St. Joseph's Church is a cousin of Captain Fealy.
