Karl (Charles) Fredrik Linder left Goteborg for America April 7, 1882. He came from Ransberg Parish in the County of Skaraborg in the Providence of Vastergotland. He was 23 years old. His father's name was Anders Arvidsson and his mother's name was Stina Lisa Bengtsdotter. His father owned a very small farm near the village of St. Marhult, near the town of Molltorp. His father was also a tailor. He died Dec 27, 1893. Karl Fredrik worked for the Swedish railroad In Norrland in 1880 and 1881.

Karl and Carolina both went to St. Paul, MN in 1882. He worked for Warne Bros. & Co. and lived at 225 Wacuta. In 1886, she worked as a domestic and lived at 563 Canada and he lived at 679 Canada. They were married May 4, 1888 in St. Paul and lived at 161 Glencoe for the next four years. Oscar And Florence were both born in St. Paul. In 1892 they moved to homestead a farm in Lincoln Township, County of Burnett, near Grantsburg, WI. (The farm was about 6 miles from Falun and 10 miles from Grantsburg.)

When Walter was a little baby they sold some of the land where their house stood and built a new house on another section of their land. When they could no longer care for themselves they left the farm (Uncle Walter moved into it) and went to live on a small place across the road from Uncle Joe. Carolina died there and Charles went to live with Walter. He was sick for 3 years and spent a couple of weeks in a hospital but died at home. Charles died from a stroke and Carolina died from kidney trouble. Both Charles And Carolina died in Burnett County, Township Of Wood River in Wisconsin. Charles was 82 and Carolina was 72 at the time of their deaths. They are buried at the Freya Cemetery.

Carolina had a cousin named Arvid Gottfrid Lundberg who came here from Sweden.
Karl Fredrik changed his name to Linder before he left Sweden.
Karl Fredrik had 2 red-haired sisters in Sweden. He had one brother with seven children.
Karl (Charles) and Carolina had 9 Children (and I was lucky enough to have one as a mother-in-law, Mayme)
