Genevieve L. Zieske, was born August 4, 1925 at Amenia, ND to George and Ella Zieske. She graduated from Amenia High School and attended Fargo Business College. She was employed at the Entomology Department at North Dakota Agricultural College from 1945-1948. Jean married William Sinz on June 12, 1948 and lived on a farm near Amenia.
She was a member of Martin's Lutheran Church of Casselton, ND. Jean enjoyed reading, needlework, gardening and taking care of her family and home.
Jean is survived by her husband William; three daughters, Linda (Bruce) Hoefs, Fargo, ND, Carol (Leon) Preston, Paso Robles, CA, Mary (Harvey) Morken, Casselton, ND; three sisters, Florence Krueger, Moorhead, MN, Virginia Jahnke, Fargo, ND, Georgine Randall, Diamond Bar, CA; one brother, Daniel (Bonnie) Zieske, Arthur, ND; five grandsons, Joseph Morken, Jason Morken, Brian (Amanda) Hoefs, Benjamin Hoefs and Leon Preston and three great grandsons, Jacob, Justin and Diesel.
Visitation: Monday, September 28, from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7 at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.
Funeral Service: Tuesday September 29, 2009, 10:30 at Martin's Lutheran Church, Casselton, ND.
Burial: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, ND.
