Crofton – Services for Anna Guenther, 81, Crofton, will be at 10:30 am, Saturday at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Lange will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery. The body will lie in state 3-9 pm, Friday at Wintz Funeral Home, where there will be rosaries at 8 and 8:30pm.

The former Anna Louise Hendricks was born Sept 2, 1897, in Earling, Iowa, and died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. On Sept 21, 1915, she was married to Casper Guenther at Crofton. He died Nov 16, 1975. Mrs. Guenther was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America and member of Christian Mothers.

Surviving are five sons, Elmer of Aumsville, Ore., Arthur of Fall River, Wis., Earl of Columbus, Wis., Norman and Norbert, both of Crofton; four daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Eileen) Crespo of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Dean ( Jo Ann) Nelson of Hartington, Mrs. Dean (Betty Lou) Helms of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Mrs. Kenneth (Carol) Prebay of Bridgeport, Mich.; two brothers, Henry of Columbus, Wis., and Albert of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Schiefer of Oakdale, Calif., Mrs. Louise Buschkamp and Mrs. Loretta Tramp, both of Bloomfield; 61 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
