Grover B. Gill died at age 42 in a car-train accident. He was traveling to Holton, Kansas, when he was struck by a train about a mile north of there* and was killed instantly. Grover was the son of Philip E. and Carrie Blanche Lewis Gill of Muscotah, Kansas. He was known by a good many Holton people, having been employed as a salesman by the Star and Durant agency. He was also engaged in selling tractors for an Atchison County firm and was acting as agent for a firm interested in the purchase of walnut logs.

Funeral serves: Muscotah, Kansas. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Effingham, Kansas. Arrangements by Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, Kansas.
