Howard was born in American Fork, Utah, to Moroni Peck and Laura Ann Rowley on Oct. 5, 1915. He spent most of his younger years in Idaho farming and attending school.
He served from 1944 to 1946 in World War II. He then served an LDS mission to Bakersfield, Calif. Later, he served a Church History Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah, and as a stake missionary for many years.
Howard attended Albion Normal School and then began his career teaching. He taught for 29 years, most at Pioneer Elementary School in Minidoka County School District.
He was kind, loving, social and hard working. Howard instilled these qualities in his posterity. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all. Sorry we didn't get to spend your 94th birthday with you here, but know others will rejoice with you.
Howard is survived by his son, Karl Peck; daughters, Sandra Peck, Peggy Knopp, Celia Parks, Phyllis Miller and Dorothea Hodson; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Dayley; and two brothers, Sherman and Kenneth Peck.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lee and Roy Peck; and three sisters, Edith Butler, Elva Payne and June Peck Corless.
