Orlo M. Bowser, 68, of 1023 Fourth Ave., Ford City, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1981, of an apparent heart attack in the emergency room of Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Ford Cliff, he was the son of Orlo L. and Phoebe (Hooks) Bowser. He was a retired employee of Pittsburgh Plate Glass, Works Six, Ford City. Mr. Bowser was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church, Seneca Lodge No. 805 F&AM, the New Castle Consistory and the Order of Demolay Advisory Council. Surviving are his wife, Ruth A. (McGuire) Bowser; one son, Dr. O.G. Bowser of Cowansville; three daughters, Dr. Marilyn R. Bowser of Pittsburgh, Ida M. Bowser of Santa Monica Cal., and Norma Jean Kester, at home; two brothers, Glenn A. Bowser of Ford Cliff and H. Vincent Bowser of Decatur, Ill.; five sisters, Isabelle Rupert, Mrs. Daniel (Ida) Wright, Mrs. Samuel (Helen) Yount, Mrs. Leroy (Gretta) Walters and Mrs. Omar (Norma) Farster, all of Ford Cliff; and two grandsons, John W. Kester, Jr. and Eric L. Kester. Mr. Bowser was preceded in death by two sisters, Eunice Bowser and Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Waugaman. BOWSER - Friends of Orlo Bowser, 68, of 1023 Fourth Ave., Ford City, who died Wed., Oct. 21, 1981 will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Kittanning, where Masonic service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church following a 10:30 a.m. viewing. Mr. Bowser's pastor, the Rev. Richard Cosnotti will officiate. Burial will be in Ford City Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder.
