Mrs. Mary A. Davis died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Oglesbee, east of town on Wednesday. She has been an invalid for some time and latterly had entirely lost the use of her mind. The funeral at the home took place on Friday morning. The sermon was by Rev. LF Galey of Crawfordsville, interment in Freedom. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Stephen and Alissa Allen and was born near Browns Valley July 13, 1835. She married William J. Davis January 24, 1857. Two children were born: John W. Davis died in 1875; the daughter is Mrs. Oglesbee. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Hann and Mrs. William Buser.
