BALDWYN - Charles Bruce Aldridge, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at his daughter's home in Tupelo after a long illness. He was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Baldwyn to the late Hugh Milton and Carrie Mae Ashmore Aldridge. He retired from Mid-South Packers after many years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Ingram Baptist Church in Baldwyn.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Wayne Fredrick will officiate, and Chris Aldridge will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Aldridge; two sons, Mark Aldridge and wife, Eidie, of Dora, Ala., and Joel Aldridge and wife, Debbie, of Vina, Ala.; four daughters, Connie McKinney, and Linda Self and husband, John, all of Red Bay, Ala., Brenda Deaton and husband, Mike, of Tupelo, and Malia Szymanski and husband, Chris, of Zion, Ill.; a stepson, Shaun Byas of Baldwyn; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Aldridge and wife, Glinda, of Baldwyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and James Aldridge; a sister, Ruby Johnson; a granddaughter, Stacy Marie Aldridge; and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Morgan McKinney.

His grandsons will be pallbearers.
