Louis Apple
Charles 'Louis' Apple, age 82 of Fayetteville, AR, formerly of Belleville, AR died Monday, March 27, 2000 at the Perry County Nursing Center in Perryville.
He was born in the Blue Mountain community December 23, 1917, son of the late Harvey Galeton and Etta Mahala Ewing Apple. He had served as a cook in the C. C. Camps, owned a restaurant in California, was an antique dealer and store owner in Hot Springs and Fayetteville and was a retired painter, working many years as a painter for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, proudly painting the Razorback on the basketball court at the University for many years.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Apple and an infant brother, Pat Apple; and three sisters, Myrtle Pledger, Vera Damon and an infant sister, Gertie Apple.
He is survived by two sisters, Naomi Fowler of Ventura, CA and Wilma Lawson Montgomery of Rogers, AR; four nieces, Wana Zella Sessions of Miami Beach, FL, Mary Ann Shelton of Santa Paula, CA, Wanda Vell Biscup of Ft. Smith, AR and Maunette Konkel of Belleville, AR and several great nephews and nieces.
Service will be held today, Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Danville with John McCourt officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville City Cemetery in Bentonville, AR.
