Delilah Poston was born 1782-1783 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now WV) to Elias & Rebecca Deaver Poston. She was the 2nd wife of Benjamin Slane Sr (1773-1842) marrying him on Nov. 8, 1801 in Hampshire County. They had 12 children, in addition to Benjamin Senior's oldest son Benjamin Junior born 1798 by his 1st wife.
