James Horace Callaghan, went by the name Horace Callaghan. He was the son of John Scott Callaghan (1850 - 1921) and Rachel Rebecca Glackens (1850 - 1904). Horace was a police officer for the Prospect Park Police Department in Delaware County, PA. On Dec 21, 1940, he was directing traffic when he was struck and killed by an intoxicated driver. Horace was survived by his wife, Anna M Callaghan (Peterson) (1890 - 1976), and his three daughters, Iva Yearsley Callaghan (1912 - 2001), Ellen M Callaghan (1912 - 1962), Elizabeth Playford Callaghan (1915 - 1983), and several grand children.
