Weezy was our wonderful Pomeranian. She came to us as a two-year-old, when her owner wasn't able to care for her any longer.

She was so smart and lovey. No matter where I was in the house, she was always right behind me or laying at my feet. She loved people and cuddling. She loved taking trips in the car and would get so excited when I would say, "Shall we..." (her ears would perk up at that point), then I'd finish with "go bye-bye?" With that, she would spin around and bark and bark! She loved riding in the car and insisted on sitting on my daughter's lap in the front seat. She was feisty and had the attitude of a big dog, only in a little dog's body.

She would respond to commands. She would sit, dance, give me five, lay, speak, and sneeze (yes, sneeze) on command. Before giving her a "cookie" (dog biscuit), I would ask her to do one of the above. After a while, when I offered her a cookie, she would do all of the first 5 very quickly, then look at me intently, waiting for her treat. It was hilarious!

It took her quite a while to learn to sneeze on command. Whenever she would sneeze, I'd say "sneeze", then mimic a sneeze while saying "sneeze". She would look at me so intently when I did that. After awhile, she would do it on command. She was so smart.

Unfortunately, on St. Patrick's Day, she got out of the back gate, went into the street, and was killed by a speeding car right in front of our house.

She was the sweetest baby! We miss you, Miss Weez!
